Alumni Awards

One of the many ways Lerner College fosters alumni engagement is by recognizing excellence. The prestigious Alumni Award of Excellence is presented each year to a select few alumni who have exhibited exceptional accomplishments. Nominations are solicited from alumni and the University community, and selection is based on professional accomplishments, contribution to the community and commitment to excellence.

  • Students Use Tech Skills to Help Nonprofit - UD MIS students used their technology skills to help a local nonprofit as part of a capstone course project. Students said the project was a rewarding hands-on learning experience.
  • Lerner’s Top 10 Stories of 2019 - From student success to new faculty research, here are our top 10 most popular blog posts from 2018 at the Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics.
  • Blue Hens of a Feather: Jobs for the Homeless - Lerner alums, with the support of UD Horn Entrepreneurship, created Lazarus Rising, a nonprofit that provides mentoring at homeless shelters, with many current UD students acting as mentors.
